On January 22, the first meeting of the Deputy Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Central Asia and Russia took place in Moscow, attended by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, Almaz Imangaziev.

This meeting was organized at the initiative of the Russian side to discuss a joint action plan for the period of 2025-2027, which was approved at the second "Central Asia - Russia" summit held in Dushanbe on October 9, 2025. It also included deputies from various federal ministries and agencies of Russia.

Imangaziev emphasized Kyrgyzstan's commitment to strengthening and expanding cooperation within the "Central Asia - Russia" format across all aspects of the common regional agenda. He noted the importance of allied relations between the countries to ensure regional security, develop trade, economic and investment ties, improve transport connectivity, and enhance cultural and humanitarian cooperation.

Additionally, Imangaziev held a separate meeting with a representative of the Migration Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, where they discussed the procedures for entry, residence, and employment of Kyrgyz citizens in Russia. They addressed the difficulties faced by citizens included in the registry of controlled persons and the need for a clear mechanism for their removal from this registry. A request was made for the possibility of legally establishing the procedure for removal without leaving Russia.

Moreover, considering the start of a pilot project in Moscow and the region related to digital migration accounting for visa-free labor migrants through the "Amina" application, the importance of spreading this experience to other major cities in Russia was emphasized.
