In her Telegram channel, Volk noted that this decision was made to ensure the stability of international transportation. "The draft resolution of the Government of the Russian Federation implies an extension of the temporary stay period for foreign drivers engaged in international road transport," she added.
Irina Volk also clarified that to extend their stay, foreign citizens will need to submit an application electronically through the "Gosuslugi" mobile application (ruID), which pertains to their entry and residence in the country.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs specified that if the application is not submitted, the standard temporary stay period for foreign drivers will remain 90 days per year.
