The border service reminded about the rules for the stay of Kazakhstan citizens in the territory of Kyrgyzstan

According to the press release from the Border Service of the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic, starting from September 1, 2025, new conditions have been introduced for citizens of Kazakhstan wishing to visit Kyrgyzstan.

Main changes:

Now, Kazakhs can stay in Kyrgyzstan for up to 90 days within every 180 days, starting from the date of their first entry. This rule is a common practice in international migration and helps to organize migration flows.

With each border crossing, the days already used for the stay are not reset but counted towards the total. A new counting period will only begin after 90 days spent outside Kyrgyzstan.

During the first 30 days of stay, citizens of Kazakhstan are not required to register. However, if the stay is planned for more than 30 days, registration becomes mandatory.

If citizens of Kazakhstan remain in Kyrgyzstan for more than 90 days without registration, they will be prohibited from re-entering for a period of 90 days.

To legally extend the duration of stay in the Kyrgyz Republic, the following documents must be provided:
