Kebekov noted that there are concerns in society about a possible rise in housing prices due to transactions with foreign buyers. However, the analysis conducted showed that the share of such transactions accounts for less than 1% of the total volume of transactions in the market.
He also added that foreign citizens do not have the right to acquire land plots in the country but can purchase apartments and houses.
"In most cases, we are talking about citizens of Russia, who are essentially former compatriots that have changed their citizenship. Transactions involving citizens of China were also mentioned, but their number is quite insignificant," he explained.
