In the Manas district of the Talas region, there is an active growth in the number of farms that are starting to engage in the breeding of high-yield pedigree livestock. Currently, there are 48 specialized cooperatives in this area focused on meat and milk production.
One of the striking examples of modernization in the agricultural sector is the new cooperative "Nogoybay Ata," which has decided to focus on breeding Auliiekol breed cows. These animals are well adapted to local climatic conditions: the breed is resistant to low temperatures and demonstrates impressive meat productivity. For instance, the live weight of 10-month-old calves already exceeds 500 kilograms, while adult cows over two years old weigh more than a ton.
The development of the breeding direction is being carried out within the framework of the "from quantity to quality" program proposed by Minister Bakyt Torobaev. The state actively supports farmers, which is already yielding results: last year, 8 new cooperatives were established in the region.
One of the significant successes of 2025 was the successful accreditation of two breeding farms, making the Manas district an official base for breeding elite livestock of international level:
Meat direction: Aberdeen-Angus breed.
Milk direction: Holstein-Friesian breed.
Experts emphasize that the transition to pedigree breeding not only significantly increases farmers' incomes but also contributes to the country's food security by providing the market with high-quality meat and dairy products.
