According to forecasts by analysts from the Eurasian Fund for Stabilization and Development, by 2026, the share of imports of goods and services in the gross domestic product (GDP) of Kyrgyzstan may reach 70.3%. In the following years, it will decrease: 66.5% in 2027 and 63.6% in 2028.

According to the analysis, the trend of reducing the current account deficit continues, which is primarily related to the decrease in import volumes in the machinery sector, while export volumes and remittances remain stable.

At the same time, the forecast for foreign exchange reserves remains unchanged, averaging 5.9 months of imports, which is due to the favorable price situation and active gold purchases by the National Bank.
