
According to the press service of the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic, the current price for a liter of raw milk with a fat content of 3.4% varies by region, reaching a maximum of 48 soms.
Official monitoring data shows the following price distribution by regions:
Issyk-Kul Region: here the price range is the widest - from 34 to 48 soms; Chui Region: the purchase price fluctuates from 35 to 47 soms; Talas Region: farmers sell milk at prices ranging from 32 to 41 soms.
The Ministry reminds that the formation of prices for products is now carried out according to established legislative norms. In accordance with the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic No. 724 dated December 2, 2024, a special procedure for determining prices has been adopted. The main technical benchmark for calculating the base price is milk with a fat content of 3.4%.
Regular price monitoring allows the ministry to control the balance of interests between farming households and large processing plants, which contributes to the stability of milk product supplies to the domestic market of the country.
