Young agronomists from Kyrgyzstan have received a unique opportunity to undergo free training at prestigious universities in Hungary. This was announced by the FAO representation in the country, declaring the start of the application process for a joint scholarship program organized by the government of Hungary and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations for the 2026–2027 academic year.
Top-Quality Education
This program aims to prepare specialists ready to implement innovations in the agro-industrial sector. This academic cycle offers three key master's programs:
Agricultural Biotechnology (Szent István Campus, Gödöllő);
Animal Nutrition and Feed Safety (Kaposvár Campus);
Plant Protection (University of Debrecen).
Education is conducted in English and lasts for two years.
Social Guarantees for Participants
Hungary fully assumes the financial obligations, ensuring the program's accessibility. The grant covers:
the full cost of tuition and registration fees;
accommodation in dormitories;
study materials;
medical insurance;
a monthly stipend for food and personal needs.
Who Can Participate?
Kyrgyzstan is traditionally considered a beneficiary country. The program seeks ambitious individuals with higher education (bachelor's degree or equivalent), proficient in English, and willing to develop agriculture in their country. Over the 20 years of the program's existence, more than 400 specialists have become "ambassadors of agriculture," successfully building careers after returning from Europe.
