The Ministry of Labor has reminded about new financial obligations for employers
The Ministry of Labor, Social Security, and Migration of the Kyrgyz Republic has announced the introduction of stricter measures of responsibility for employers in accordance with the updated Labor Code.
According to the new rules, a unified rate of financial liability for delayed wages, vacation pay, and severance pay is being introduced in the country. Employers are now required to pay a penalty of 0.25% of the amount owed for each day of delayed payments.
Additionally, clear deadlines for filing claims have been established: employees have three years to go to court regarding unpaid wages, starting from the date of the planned settlement.
The ministry is confident that these changes will help improve discipline in the labor market and guarantee the protection of citizens' material rights.
