An audit of the enterprise will be conducted by the Accounts Chamber
As part of the operational assignment from President Sadyr Japarov, a meeting was held to discuss the current state of the factory, employee salary issues, and social aspects. Employees expressed their concerns about the future, and Torobaev reported on a government resolution prepared regarding the payment of wage arrears and the search for investors.
It was also announced that factory workers would be sent on temporary unpaid leave. In the event of layoffs, employees will receive payments in accordance with the Labor Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The Deputy Prime Minister added that a special working group has been established to restore the factory's operations. An analysis of the possibilities for diversifying production and opening new directions is underway. Full payment of wages to employees is planned by the end of January 2026. Additionally, the Accounts Chamber will assess the financial, economic, and managerial activities of the factory. The production of incandescent lamps will be discontinued, as this product has become irrelevant in the international market.
For reference, the Mailuu-Suu Lamp Factory began its operations in 1964 and currently produces various types of glass containers, including glassware, bottles, jars, and LED lamps.
We remind you that plans for the closure of the factory and temporary unpaid leave for workers were previously announced at a meeting with the Deputy Plenipotentiary Representative of the President in the Jalal-Abad region.
