According to the minister, 100 hectares of land have been allocated for the factory, which previously belonged to private owners and was unused. This land has been transferred to the state and is now managed by the state enterprise "Agroholding" under the auspices of the ministry. The project is being implemented at the direction of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Torobayev noted that all necessary utilities—sewage, water supply, and electricity—have been connected to the site. Furthermore, in the future, entrepreneurs engaged in the wool, leather, and livestock products sectors will be able to lease production facilities at this site.
The construction of the leather processing plant is planned to be completed within a year and a half. It is expected that the implementation of this project will contribute to the development of the processing industry, the creation of new jobs, and an increase in the added value of livestock products.
