A leather processing plant is being built in the Issyk-Ata district.

The construction of a leather processing plant has begun in the Issyk-Ata district, as reported by the press service of the Ministry of Water Management, Agriculture, and Processing Industry.

According to Minister Bakyt Torobaev, "100 hectares of land, which previously belonged to private individuals and were unused, have been transferred to state ownership and allocated to the state enterprise 'Agroholding'." This project is being implemented under the instruction of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic.

It is also reported that the work on connecting sewage, water supply, and electricity has already been completed.

The minister added that in the future, entrepreneurs engaged in the processing of wool, leather, and the production of livestock products will be able to rent production facilities at this plant.

The construction of the leather factory is expected to be completed within 18 months.
