The press service of the Cabinet of Ministers notes that the purpose of the meeting was to discuss the current state of the factory. During the meeting, issues related to production volumes, employee salaries, and social aspects were considered, as well as strategies for preserving and developing the enterprise. Factory employees expressed concern about the decline in production volumes, delays in salary payments, and potential layoffs.
In response to these issues, it was reported that the Cabinet of Ministers has developed a draft order for the payment of salary arrears for the last three months. Active negotiations are also underway to attract investors.
Until the production process is fully restored, factory employees will be temporarily sent on unpaid leave. Employees wishing to resign voluntarily will be able to receive compensation in accordance with the labor legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Bakyt Torobaev also announced the creation of a special working group that will focus on restoring the factory's operations, including analyzing opportunities for production diversification and launching new lines. He emphasized that employee salaries will be fully paid by the end of January 2026.
In addition, in order to improve the management of the enterprise, the Accounts Chamber will conduct a comprehensive assessment of its financial and economic activities.
Torobaev also noted that the production of incandescent lamps at the factory will be discontinued, as the product has lost relevance in the international market.
Currently, the Mailuu-Suu Lamp Factory produces various types of glass containers, such as bottles, jars, and LED lamps.
It is important to note that the Mailuu-Suu Lamp Factory, founded in 1964 in the city of Mailuu-Suu in the Jalal-Abad region, has changed its management forms throughout its history — from a state enterprise to a joint-stock company and a limited liability company.
