The Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan has decided to allocate additional financial resources for increasing the salaries of employees of scientific institutions. This order is the result of implementing a presidential decree issued on October 13, 2025, as well as the requirements of the Budget Code.
According to the specified document, the Ministry of Finance has been instructed to transfer the following amounts from the republican budget:
- 19 million 239.2 thousand soms — for the Ministry of Science, Higher Education and Innovations;
- 113 million 690 thousand soms — for the National Academy of Sciences under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The allocated funds are intended for increasing the salaries of scientific staff in 2025.
The Ministry of Finance must take these changes into account when preparing amendments to the Law "On the Republican Budget for 2025 and the Planning Period 2026–2027." Additionally, the ministry is required to submit a report on the implementation of the order to the relevant committee of the new convocation of the Jogorku Kenesh.
The Ministry of Science and the National Academy of Sciences are responsible for the targeted use of the allocated funds.
