In the Jalal-Abad region, an off-site meeting was held, organized under the leadership of Bakyt Torobaev, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet and Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry. The meeting addressed issues related to the OJSC "Mailuu-Suu Lamp Factory."

The meeting took place on the instruction of Sadyr Japarov and gathered representatives of relevant state agencies, as well as the management and employees of the factory. The main focus was on the state of the enterprise, the volume of production, salary issues, social aspects, and measures to preserve the enterprise.

On December 30, Nurlan Ermatov, the First Deputy Plenipotentiary Representative of the President in the Jalal-Abad region, met with the factory workers to discuss issues related to salary payments and the future of the enterprise. During the meeting, it became known that 550 employees would be temporarily sent on unpaid leave until an investor appears.

The factory employees had previously appealed to the country's leadership with complaints about salary delays, which had not been paid for three months, as well as unstable operations and layoffs. They noted that the enterprise has been operating intermittently for about two years, and employees work only a few days a week.

The factory's problems had been highlighted earlier: there was unsold inventory worth over 260 million soms accumulated in the warehouse, which is linked to a drop in demand, including after the exit from the markets of Russia and neighboring countries.

The Mailuu-Suu Lamp Factory was founded in 1964. During the Soviet period, it produced up to 1 billion lamps per year; however, after the collapse of the USSR, production volumes significantly decreased. In 2009, the factory was declared bankrupt and later came under state management.
