In the Jalal-Abad region, an off-site meeting was held under the leadership of Deputy Prime Minister Bakyt Torobaev, where the situation at the OJSC "Mailuu-Suu Lamp Factory" was discussed.

This meeting was organized at the initiative of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov, and it was attended by factory employees as well as representatives of relevant government agencies.

During the meeting, the problems faced by the factory were discussed: the current state of the enterprise, the volume of products produced, employee salaries, social issues, and steps to preserve the company. Employees expressed their concerns about the reduction in production volumes, delays in wage payments, and the potential loss of jobs.

The Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic has already developed a draft resolution to settle wage arrears for the past three months. In addition, work is underway to attract investors to improve the situation.
During the period of full resumption of production, factory employees will be sent on unpaid leave.
Employees who decide to resign voluntarily will be provided with compensation in accordance with the labor legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Bakyt Torobaev stated that a special working group will be created to activate the factory's operations, which will analyze the possibilities for diversification and the opening of new directions. He also noted that the wage arrears will be fully settled by the end of January 2026.

Furthermore, the Accounts Chamber will conduct a comprehensive assessment of the financial, economic, and managerial activities of the enterprise to improve management.

The Deputy Prime Minister also noted that the production of incandescent lamps, which is carried out at the factory, will be discontinued due to a lack of demand for this product in the global market.

Currently, the Mailuu-Suu Lamp Factory produces various types of glass containers.

It is important to note that the factory was established in 1964 in the city of Mailuu-Suu in the Jalal-Abad region. Over time, its organizational and legal form has changed multiple times — from a state enterprise to a joint-stock company and a limited liability company.
