The Ministry of Agriculture of the Kyrgyz Republic encourages farmers to consider the benefits of hydroponics

The Ministry of Agriculture of the Kyrgyz Republic has launched an initiative for the widespread implementation of hydroponics, which is an innovative approach to growing plants without the use of traditional soil. This technology is based on nutrient water solutions, allowing for the creation of a controlled environment for crop production. According to the ministry's press service, this step aims to radically renew the agricultural sector of the country and attract young entrepreneurs to this field.

The main advantage emphasized by specialists is the significant resource savings. In conditions of water scarcity, hydroponics can reduce water consumption by 70-90% compared to traditional agriculture. This method not only accelerates the vegetation of plants but also guarantees their ecological purity, as it eliminates the possibility of contact with soil pests and diseases. This opens doors for the use of even urban spaces and limited plots, offering fresh vegetables and greens year-round.

Officials from the relevant agency emphasize that hydroponics is not just an experiment, but an important strategic tool for ensuring food security in the country. The Veterinary and Livestock Development Service has already urged farmers to actively adopt methods that allow for resource savings. The transition to hydroponics should be a response to climate challenges and water resource shortages, enabling Kyrgyz farmers to achieve stable profits regardless of weather conditions and soil quality.
