The C6 Format Opens New Trade Opportunities for Central Asian Countries

Temirlan Razbaev noted that the history of Azerbaijan and Central Asia is inextricably linked, and all the countries in the region have, in one way or another, been related to the Great Silk Road.
“The C5 format was an important step towards strengthening regional interaction. Now that Azerbaijan has joined, we have the C6 format. This is a natural step, a continuation of the historical process. Central Asia is extending beyond its geography, and the new format brings us back to historical trade routes,” he emphasizes.
The expert also highlighted that this approach contributes to strengthening friendship among peoples: new tourist routes are emerging, flights are being launched, and trade turnover is increasing.
“Cultural identity plays a significant role: we are all Turkic-speaking states, and we share many commonalities. The C6 format will accelerate integration processes and mutual understanding. This concerns not only political positions but also the development of international law and national institutions,” he added.
Razbaev believes that joint analytical research will help better understand each other's interests and prepare reforms.
“Now is a favorable moment for jointly shaping a common agenda. Our countries have always supported such initiatives, and business, trade, and investment will be the first areas where our common interests will manifest. Culture and tourism will follow the economy, which will strengthen regional cooperation. This will undoubtedly have a positive impact on consensus and partnership both within the region and with other states,” he concluded.
