In 2026, the replacement of 8,772 outdated insulators is planned in the Batken region.

As part of the Ministry of Energy's plans for the renewal and modernization of the energy sector, the branch of OJSC "NESC" — Batken Electric Networks Enterprise, through the high-voltage overhead lines service of 220/110/35 kV, plans to replace the following outdated insulators with new glass ones:

- Kyzyl-Kiy section — 4,200 insulators

- Sulyukta section — 1,572 insulators

- Batken section — 3,000 insulators

The work will be carried out in stages from March to November, in preparation for the autumn-winter period of 2026–2027. After the replacement of the insulators, the technical condition of the high-voltage lines will improve, allowing consumers to receive quality and stable electricity.

It should be noted that in 2025, 7,200 outdated insulators were completely replaced, and 7,513 new glass insulators were installed.

_____________

An insulator is a device used on power transmission lines that holds conductors on supports and prevents electrical leakage to the ground or between phases.

It prevents electrical short circuits to the supports.

Insulators are typically made of glass, ceramics, or composite materials.

On 220/110/35 kV lines, such as those in Batken, insulators play a key role in maintaining the safe operation of high-voltage lines, preventing short circuits and accidents.
