The stability of power within the Eurasian space and specifically in Kyrgyzstan is becoming an important factor for strategic development. Economic cooperation between states, the development of infrastructure, and logistics projects directly depend on the stability of power structures in partner countries. Each participant in the international community plays a key role, and their stability is important both in the context of international relations and in domestic politics. This has led to a growing interest in the situation in neighboring states and their internal affairs.
For instance, journalists from Kazakhstan have noted the high level of trust in the President of Kyrgyzstan, which has exceeded 80% for several years. This level of support indicates significant stability, especially in conditions of high political competition and fluctuating public sentiments. Experts point out that the confident positions of the president are a sign of social stability in the country and support for political reforms.
According to a survey conducted in mid-February, 81% of citizens approve of Sadyr Japarov's activities as president. Moreover, 75% of respondents expressed complete trust in his actions and confidence in his abilities.
As reported by the Kazakh portal Kursiv.media, the survey was conducted from February 12 to 18, 2026, among the adult population of Kyrgyzstan (18+) using a combined method, including telephone interviews and online surveys with the use of CATI and CAWI technologies.
- The sample size was 1,200 respondents;
- Methods: telephone interviews (CATI) and online surveys (CAWI);
- Statistical error: ±2.8% at a 95% confidence level.
During the survey, participants were also asked about potential candidates for the presidency. Participants could name any politician or public figure they favored. The results of the survey showed the following data:

“According to the latest survey I studied, the rating of the President of Kyrgyzstan remains high. Comparing it with data from the last five years, one can see that evaluations of his work are consistently high,” the expert added.
According to the International Republican Institute, since 2020, Sadyr Japarov has consistently received high trust ratings from 80% to nearly 90% of respondents.
It is worth noting that in 2020, the republic experienced strong protests against corruption, as well as the consequences of the pandemic, which undermined the stability of the state. However, citizens placed great hopes on the new leadership.
Since then, the situation has changed: Kyrgyzstan is actively constructing infrastructure projects such as schools and roads. Previously, the decision-making process was slow and complicated, but President Japarov changed the system, which allowed for faster implementation of decisions.

The ratings of other politicians are lower, as they do not have the same connection with the people and often remain closed to communication. When respondents are asked about their trust in politicians without providing a list, the name of Sadyr Japarov comes first, as he is the most recognizable and his work is in the public eye. This demonstrates the high expectations of citizens from the current president and his government,” noted Aydin Bakytbek uulu.
In a review article on political sentiments in Kyrgyzstan, journalists from Kursiv.media emphasize that “Kyrgyzstan is the closest partner of Kazakhstan within the EAEU and an important player in the regional agenda. Political stability in Kyrgyzstan has a direct impact on economic ties, migration processes, and the overall investment climate in Central Asia.”
Experts view the stability of the Eurasian space as an important factor for achieving economic prosperity through mutually beneficial cooperation. Ulugbek Yereshayev, head of the SCO research center, emphasizes that only by remaining reliable partners can Central Asian countries achieve economic stability.

When discussing new formats of economic interaction, experts often focus on trade statistics, preferences, and tariffs. However, first and foremost, this is the result of deepening ties between states and the strengthening political dialogue between their leaders, which in turn supports economic growth.
Why is this important?
Business, investors, and citizens make decisions with the future in mind. If the authorities demonstrate stability and adherence to legality, it attracts investments, facilitates the opening of new enterprises, and the construction of infrastructure.
Stability creates opportunities for economic development. In conditions of global instability, the EAEU and SCO become attractive platforms for cooperation based on mutual respect rather than hierarchy.
Strong authorities and tranquility in each country are not only a benefit but also advantageous for all. This creates a foundation for new productions, jobs, and economic growth. By investing in their stability, states ensure a common future where security and development go hand in hand. Political predictability and stability are key factors for achieving common goals,” summarized Ulugbek Yereshayev.
Experts note that the level of trust in power in Central Asia and the EAEU remains high. In Kyrgyzstan, where the economy is showing rapid development after many years of instability, the authorities' rating is significantly higher, reflecting citizens' assessments of their work.
