

At a meeting held by Deputy Prime Minister Bakyt Torobaev, who also serves as Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry, organizational aspects of the upcoming agricultural census were discussed. This information was published by the information support department of the Cabinet.
According to the information provided by the Chairman of the National Statistical Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic, Baktybek Kudaybergenov, this census will be conducted in a digital format, which means a complete rejection of traditional paper carriers.
The data collection process will be carried out using a mobile application installed on the enumerators' devices. The transmission of the collected information to the central server of the National Statistics Committee will occur through secure communication channels, ensuring confidentiality and prompt processing of all data.The census is scheduled from March 20 to April 10 of this year, as stated in the announcement.
The meeting also noted that preliminary work has been completed to a significant extent:
- The census forms and the list of key indicators have been agreed upon with relevant agencies and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO);
- Four census forms, staff instructions, and a detailed calendar plan have been approved;
- A successful pilot census was conducted in 2024, which allowed for improvements in software and methodology;
- A multi-stage personnel training system is planned for 2025–2026, both in-person and online; in the first stage, over 200 specialists have been trained.
- Registrars – 1,179;
- Enumerators – 4,494;
- Instructor-supervisors – 898;
- Coordinators – 220.
Bakyt Torobaev also noted that government authorities and local self-government bodies are responsible for organizing, logistics, and supporting the census at the local level.
