A modern freezing complex will begin construction in the village of Ak-Suu, Chuy region. This was reported by the Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund (RKDF).
Funding for the new project became possible thanks to an agreement signed between the RKDF and one of the leading domestic exporters of agricultural products — OsOO "Kyrgyzcentroproduct". The fund's investments will be used to build the new freezing complex.
According to information from the RKDF, the area of the new facility will be about 5,000 square meters, which will allow for the simultaneous storage of up to 3,000 tons of frozen vegetables and fruits. After the construction is completed, the total storage capacity of the enterprise will double.
“This project represents an important step for the RKDF, as it fully aligns with the goals of the National Development Program until 2030. We strive to fulfill the instructions of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov regarding a significant increase in the volumes of agricultural product exports. In agriculture, everything depends on the season, and during peak months, the harvest can be so large that existing capacities are insufficient. The new complex will allow us to receive berries from farmers without delays, which will eliminate the risks of crop loss,” emphasized Artem Novikov, chairman of the RKDF.
At the signing ceremony of the agreement, the authorized representative of the president in the Chuy region, Azamat Osmonov, noted the importance of this project for the region.
“It is encouraging that the Chuy region is now perceived not only as an agricultural region but also as a center for industrial development. The implementation of such initiatives strengthens the industrial potential of the region,” he added.
The development of infrastructure is directly related to the increase in export volumes: over the past year, the export of frozen berries and fruits has increased nearly fourfold, reaching 3,632 tons. During mass harvesting periods, when up to 60% of the total raw material volume enters the market, the existing capacities are overloaded. The new complex in Ak-Suu will ensure stable acceptance of products from farmers and maintain their quality in accordance with international standards.
