A Agricultural Fair is Taking Place in Karakol: How Much is Meat Being Sold For?

On March 1, in Karakol, located in the Issyk-Kul region, an agricultural fair took place at the "Slavyanskiy" market, which is held once a week.

At the fair, city residents are offered products at reasonable prices.

Farmers from the Jeti-Oguz and Ak-Suu districts brought their products, which are distinguished by their naturalness.

According to the local mayor's office, a kilogram of meat can be purchased here for 650 soms.

In addition to meat, other goods are offered with the following prices:

Garlic — 150 soms per kilogram

Apples — 60–80 soms per kilogram

Eggs — 12–13 soms each

Potatoes — 35–40 soms per kilogram

Beets — 40 soms per kilogram

Carrots — 35 soms per kilogram

Onions — 30 soms per kilogram

Cabbage — 35 soms per kilogram

Honey — 350–400 soms per kilogram

Fish — 350 soms per kilogram

Walnuts — 150 soms per kilogram

Chicken — 350 soms per kilogram.

The organizers of the fair note that the main goal of the event is to ensure direct trade without intermediaries, to provide the population with affordable and quality products, and to create opportunities for city residents to buy from local farmers.
