From December 27 to 31, an agricultural fair is taking place at Turdakun Usubaliev Square in Bishkek, organized by the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry. The purpose of this event is to provide the population with local food products at reasonable prices.

Today, Prime Minister Adylbek Kasymaliev visited the fair, where he emphasized the importance of such events in reducing the number of intermediaries between producers and consumers.

The head of the Cabinet congratulated the participants on the upcoming New Year and highlighted that agricultural fairs are held regularly in Bishkek every week. According to him, Bakyt Torobaev's initiative benefits both farmers and consumers, allowing them to purchase products directly and at lower prices. "Farmers sell their products below market prices, and enterprises sell at factory prices. This creates a direct link between the producer and the consumer, eliminates intermediaries, and helps control the rise in prices for essential food products," added Kasymaliev.

He also reported that at the fair, meat prices remain within the established maximum limits: beef costs up to 680 soms per kilogram, and lamb up to 690 soms.

The Chairman of the Cabinet assured that such fairs will continue to be held next year, and similar events are regularly taking place in other regions of the country.
