China has officially lodged a strong protest in response to the introduction of a new package of sanctions by the United Kingdom against Chinese companies, which was justified by so-called "ties to Russia." This comment was made by a representative of the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China.

He noted that the actions of the British authorities are unilateral sanctions that lack a legal basis on the international stage and have not been approved by the United Nations.

Speaking about the situation in Ukraine, the official emphasized that China strictly adheres to the rules for controlling the export of dual-use goods, and that normal commercial relations and cooperation between Chinese and Russian companies should not be restricted.

The representative urged the UK to immediately reconsider its decisions and lift the sanctions against Chinese organizations, stressing that China is prepared to take necessary measures to protect the legitimate rights and interests of its companies.
