The report of the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) indicates that Kyrgyzstan ranks 47th in the global Sustainable Development Goals index and 78th in the Energy Transition Index (ETI), which is published annually by the World Economic Forum (WEF). These data highlight the country's achievements in the field of energy in Central Asia.

According to the authors of the report, Kyrgyzstan demonstrates higher results compared to Kazakhstan and Tajikistan. This indicates progress in sustainable development and a transition to new energy sources.

The document also notes: "Although the country's energy system, based on hydropower, is subject to seasonal risks and has limited capacity reserves, Kyrgyzstan holds a respectable position in the environmental sustainability ranking."
