Roza Itimbaeva, living in the village of Kerege-Tash located in the Ak-Suu district of the Issyk-Kul region, is a teacher at the J. Alyshbaev school.

In addition to her teaching activities, she has been successfully engaged in beekeeping for five years.

“Initially, we started raising bees for our own honey consumption, but now it has become a business. We currently have 100 hives, and the location of our village on the mountainside is perfect for this activity. In the summer, we collect over one ton of honey, and we sell a kilogram for 400-450 soms. As a result, about 1 million soms comes into our family budget,” Roza shared.

According to her, taking care of bees requires the same level of responsibility as caring for small children.

“My husband and I regularly provide the bees with medicine and everything they need. In the spring, we prepare the hives and then move to the mountains. As a result, we get honey from the nectar of alfalfa flowers. I spend my summer vacation taking care of the bees,” Itimbaeva said.

She also expressed pride in her work as a teacher.

“Children have pure souls, and I enjoy working with them. I love answering their questions. During the summer vacation, I miss my students. I have 20 years of teaching experience, and my first students have already started their own families and are working. I keep in touch with them,” noted Roza Itimbaeva.

Roza has five children and three grandchildren.
