Her total experience in pedagogy is 22 years.
“I was born in 1980. After graduating from school in 1997, I enrolled at the Issyk-Kul State University named after K. Tynystanov in the Faculty of Arts. After obtaining my diploma, I began my career at the children's educational center in Karakol. Later, I moved to the Ak-Suu district, where I continue to work. I lead a club called ‘sculpture and souvenirs’ for children,” Gulzat said.
She actively helps her students find new uses for items that are no longer used, while teaching them various techniques for working with materials.
“At the moment, I have three groups, and I teach about 50 children. We work with paper, plastic bottles, and plastic bags. Previously, we created crafts from purchased materials, but in 2020, when the quarantine due to the coronavirus began, we faced difficulties in acquiring the necessary items in the market. Therefore, we started using waste that is usually sent for disposal after the first use. This allows us to reduce the amount of waste while simultaneously creating interesting works. We participate in exhibitions, and my students' creations often win prizes at district, regional, and international competitions,” she noted.
Gulzat emphasized that her students eagerly look forward to each class.
“Talented children full of ideas come to the courses. None of them come out of obligation; they joyfully anticipate each lesson. When the class ends, it's hard for me to send them home. The souvenirs they create are often given as gifts to their relatives. Some of the girls who studied with me continued their education in the arts, and I am proud of their achievements,” the teacher added.
Gulzat also noted that for her achievements in the field of pedagogy, she has been awarded Honorary Certificates from local authorities and the Ministry of Education and Science, and she also wears a badge of excellence in education.
