Nurbek Baktybek uulu, a native of the village of Buzhum in the Batken region, has been engaged in agronomy for 10 years.

In an interview with a Turmush correspondent, he shared that his garden is rich in various vegetables, which brings him income. On his plot, one can find beets, cabbage, potatoes, carrots, tomatoes, onions, bell peppers, pumpkins, and many other crops. Every year he plants the "Süt" pumpkin variety, and this season he harvested one pumpkin weighing 25 kilograms, which he put up for sale.

“The largest pumpkin I have grown weighs 25 kilograms. Others are also quite large — 20, 23, and 10 kg. They are all fairly big. I plant the "Süt" pumpkin every year along with other vegetables. I sell it for 35 soms per kilogram,” Nurbek says.

This year, the prices for tomatoes ranged from 35 to 50 soms per kilogram, bell peppers were also priced at 35 to 50 soms, while cabbage cost 70 soms. Eggplants were sold for up to 50 soms, and pumpkins are currently priced at 35 soms per kilogram.

“I have been farming for about 9-10 years. Our customers prefer to buy products directly from us at home, by pre-order, or at the market. All products are natural, without the use of chemicals, and grow in our garden,” he adds.
