His interest in biohumus production began while working in a greenhouse in Moscow.
“I graduated from a vocational school as a tractor driver and have been growing raspberries and producing biohumus for three years while also working in construction. My interest in biohumus appeared 20 years ago when I saw it with acquaintances. I consulted specialists, but due to the lack of a closed facility, I couldn’t start production, and at that time, the cost of worms was high. However, seeing information about biohumus on social media reignited my interest in this topic, although I had previously been interested in organic fertilizers,” Muradbek shares.
“I realized that vegetables like tomatoes and cucumbers are produced using chemicals, making them unsuitable for consumption. Therefore, I decided to focus on growing clean and organic products. Seeing how such vegetables are sold in greenhouses, I understood that it is harmful to health, and I started working on this,” he emphasizes.
Muradbek added that after returning to Kyrgyzstan, he took out a loan to start biohumus production on his plot.
“At first, I didn’t have enough earthworms, but since last year they have started to multiply, and I have gained my first customers. Last year, I produced about 10 tons, and this year I plan to increase the volume to 20-30 tons. Prices for biohumus range from 15 to 20 soms depending on the volume,” he noted.
He also reported that this year the price for raspberries is 150-160 soms per kilogram, while last year it fluctuated between 150 and 250 soms. He uses liquid biohumus for growing these crops.
Muradbek also added that his future plans include increasing biohumus production and promoting organic products among the population.
At the same time, he is the father of four daughters.
