On January 19, during a meeting of the Committee of the Jogorku Kenesh on science, education, innovations, information technologies, culture, sports, and youth affairs, deputy Umbetaly Kydyraliev raised a question about the availability of unspent funds in the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports based on the results of 2025.

As noted by the deputy, in 2025, the State Agency was allocated 2 billion 446 million soms from the republican budget. Of this amount, 1 billion 62 million soms went to the wage fund, about 70 million soms for utilities, and 150 million soms for repair work. In addition, 1 billion 103 million 163 thousand soms were earmarked for sports development.

Kydyraliev also clarified the details of the expenditure of funds, including travel expenses for competitions and training camps, as well as costs for repairs and other expenses, and inquired whether the allocated budget had been fully utilized.

In response, the director of the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports, Kazybek Moldazhiyev, stated that there was no significant unspent funds observed. According to him, the remaining funds arose as a result of savings, particularly due to reduced costs for meals during the renovation of the republican sports college and, in some cases, at international tournaments where expenses were covered by the organizers.
