“Who will be responsible: the Ministry of Culture or the Department of Cinematography? If there is a mistake in road construction, the responsibility lies with the Ministry of Transport. But in the case of films, who will take responsibility? Will you just remain silent if they say the project was unsuccessful?” Amanova posed a rhetorical question.
The director of the Kyrgyzfilm studio, Maksat Jumayev, spoke about the "Ayan" project, noting that the previous director of the studio accepted it as completed, and it is already in the archive. “I asked the director what would happen if they were asked to show the film on television, as the project was accepted as completed. He replied that this would not happen,” he added.
The deputy also pointed out that one of the reasons for the problems in cinematography is the lack of qualified screenwriters, directors, and producers.
According to Jumayev, the level of many participants in the competitions leaves much to be desired. “We ask them if they can shoot at their own expense if the artistic council does not approve the project. No one wants to do that,” he noted.
Amanova emphasized that the new team at the Ministry of Culture plans to carry out reforms in this area, and the process should proceed without appointing acquaintances and outsiders.
Deputy Minister of Culture Marat Tagaev agreed with this position and added that previously there were numerous connections in the industry, but this will no longer be the case, and all processes will be under strict control.
