Ten kilometers southwest of Aidarken, in the Kadamjai district of the Batken region, there is a river called Tegirmen Say, which leads to the popular recreation area of Gauin.

The history of this water body is shrouded in ancient legends.

According to the local residents' tales, 4-5 centuries ago, wealthy inhabitants of mountain villages held competitions by building mills on the river. In those times, many constructed mills to showcase their wealth. One bay could own up to 20 mills, and there were numerous such structures along the river.
To create the mills, coniferous trees growing on the river slopes were cut down, which explains their small sizes today.

Not far from the mountain, there is a place known as "Uuru Say" (where "uur" means thief). According to the stories of the elderly, thieves who robbed the mills often hid there after their crimes.

Over time, the mills disappeared, and now the river Tegirmen Say serves as a source of drinking and irrigation water for the city of Aidarken and several nearby villages.
