Edil Azimshayyk emphasized that if foreign companies do not register as taxpayers and do not comply with the requirements of the State Revenue Committee (SRC), access to their resources will be suspended. However, he did not specify how tax authorities would implement this blocking.
According to Azimshayyk, tax authorities will not block expenditure operations, as these companies do not have accounts in Kazakhstan. Instead, other measures are planned. He also noted that together with the National Bank and commercial banks, they are identifying such companies. Tax authorities receive information about payments made to foreign marketplaces and take appropriate measures. This also applies to popular Chinese platforms such as Pinduoduo, Taobao, and 1688, which are used by Kazakhstanis to purchase goods at lower prices. Nevertheless, tax authorities claim that these companies do not always fulfill their tax obligations.
