According to her, strict measures are applied to violators, including fines, probation control, and even imprisonment.
Ishenova also emphasized that the collection of alimony begins with the filing of a claim in court.
The court, taking into account the parents' income, the child's needs, and other factors, determines the amount of alimony payments. After that, the enforcement of the decision is handled by state judicial officers.
Their responsibilities include checking the following aspects:
- the official place of work and income of the debtor,
- the presence of pension payments,
- bank accounts,
- property,
- the possibility of restricting travel abroad.
As explained by the senior assistant prosecutor, if the debtor intentionally evades alimony payments, the judicial officers forward the materials to law enforcement agencies to initiate a criminal case.
The prosecutor's office continues to work on clarifying issues related to alimony and the responsibility for non-payment among the population.
