Every week in his small workshop in the village of Zhash-Tilek, he produces about 3,000 bars of soap. The majority of the products are sold at the markets of Khamlion and Batken, and local residents are eager to buy the goods directly from his home. “In three years, I have established the production of household soap, and I make about 3,000 bars a week. I work alone. The wholesale price is 20 soms per unit. I prepare all the necessary components myself, including used oil from fast food outlets and animal fat,” shares Murad.
The soap consists of animal fat, processed vegetable oil, and special chemicals that he obtains from local suppliers. After production, he transports the soap to the markets of Khamlion and Batken, and also sells it wholesale to local stores. Usually, all the goods are sold out within two weeks. It takes three days to produce one batch, as it is necessary to follow the technological process. Murad made the equipment for cutting and molding the soap himself. “I sell the soap at 20 soms wholesale, and then the stores set their own prices,” he adds.
Murad also plans to expand his business: “The demand for our products is high, and there are many unemployed people in the village. I would like to create new jobs,” he says.
He started his business in 2022, and now his products are known under the brand “Eki Dos.”
