According to information from Papa John’s, they are not leaving the markets of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, but are simply ending their relationship with a specific franchisee. This explanation followed the publication about the possible departure of the brand from the region.

Monolbaev reported that all the company's profits were directed towards covering salaries, taxes, rent, and partially repaying debts. Most employees in Kazakhstan managed to find new jobs in other organizations. Other obligations are being resolved through legal channels.
“Papa John’s has terminated its relationship with the master franchisee operating in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. This decision underscores our commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and providing the best service to our customers. We are exploring new opportunities to maintain our presence in this region,” noted a company representative in a conversation with “Kursiv”.

Currently, there are 14 Papa John’s restaurants operating in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, located in various cities, including Aktau, Taraz, Astana (Asia Park, Balkadisha, Khan Shatyr), Almaty, Atyrau (Infinity Mall), Kostanay (Plaza), Ust-Kamenogorsk (Maxi Mall and ADK River), and Kokshetau (Rio Shopping Mall), as well as in other settlements.
