Elena Klinova, who lives in Kara-Balta, has discovered a new hobby in the field of decorative arts by starting to make jewelry and souvenirs from epoxy resin. Although she worked for many years as a baker and pastry chef, her desire to engage in creativity prompted her to try something new.

In an interview with a Turmush correspondent, Elena shared that her interest in this unusual material arose after viewing the works of other artisans online. After ordering the necessary tools and materials through online stores, she began experimenting with epoxy resin, creating keychains, Christmas ornaments, and unique souvenirs with decorative elements such as flowers, glitter, and shells.

Initially, Elena shared her creations with friends and family, but soon her products began to gain popularity. In anticipation of the upcoming New Year, Christmas ornaments in the shape of the year's symbol – the horse – became particularly popular. Over time, the range has expanded and now includes Zodiac signs, decorative sugar bowls, and other New Year’s items.

As Klinova noted, working with epoxy resin requires attentiveness and precision. This material is sensitive to moisture and contaminants, and failing to follow the technology can negatively affect the quality of the finished product. At the same time, careful work allows for the preservation of natural elements within the resin, giving each piece uniqueness.

Klinova also added that epoxy resin products are becoming increasingly popular worldwide and are used not only for creating souvenirs but also in interior design, including decorations, panels, clocks, and furniture. With the right approach, this hobby can become an additional source of income.
