The Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, Adylbek Kasymaliev, handed over the keys to 44 service vehicles to representatives of the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry. This information was announced by the government press service.
The cost of the 44 vehicles, purchased with state funds, amounts to 92.6 million soms. These vehicles will be transferred to the Water Resources Service and the Fisheries Department of the ministry.
During the event, Kasymaliev noted that the agricultural sector occupies a central place in the state policy conducted under the leadership of the president and is the main driver of the real economy of the country.
"Agriculture is the main source contributing to the development of industry. In Kyrgyzstan, the number of processing enterprises operating both seasonally and year-round has reached 425. By the president's directive, hundreds of new enterprises are opened annually. This year, 119 new ones were opened, of which more than half — 53% — are related to agriculture and processing," he added.
Kasymaliev also emphasized the importance of modernization and technical equipping of the irrigation sector of Kyrgyzstan's water management.
"In 2024, 1 billion soms were allocated for irrigation, while in the 11 months of 2025, this amount increased to 1.7 billion soms. Active work is underway to clean, construct, concrete, and strengthen channels, as well as to build reservoirs for regulating water flow. To improve the working conditions of all water management services of the Ministry of Agriculture, 286 units of special equipment were purchased in 2024-2025," he reported.
The government press service also reminded about the food product fairs held at the T. Usubaliev Square and in the Asanbay microdistrict in Bishkek, where goods are sold at prices lower than market prices. The head of the Cabinet personally visited one of these fairs.
It is reported that similar fairs take place in all regions of the country every weekend and will continue until the summer season.
