Kamchybek Tashiev noted that the influence of organized crime in Kyrgyzstan has become so strong that even high-ranking officials fear for the safety of their families.
He recounted an incident involving a minister who came to him in tears, reporting that he had received threats from a criminal authority who insisted on his demands, warning that otherwise he would say goodbye to his children. "Criminal structures acted with impunity; they had money, power, and support from certain individuals in law enforcement and the judiciary. It was extremely difficult to fight against them due to information leaks," Tashiev stated.
Recalling those events, Japarov added that he had repeatedly warned not only Rayimbek Matraimov but also Kamchy Kolbaev about the inadmissibility of contract killings.
He emphasized: "I have repeatedly warned both Matraimov and Kolbaev that this should not happen. Contract killings, especially during the rule of Atambayev and Bakiev, were a common occurrence. I made it clear that there would be none of that under my watch. However, unfortunately, Doo-Chyngyz was killed on the orders of Kamchy Kolbaev after his detention. This crime should not be concealed," the president noted.
Kamchybek Tashiev confirmed that discussions between the president and the mentioned figures took place with his participation.
Nevertheless, Tashiev concluded that these warnings were not taken seriously, and Kolbaev and Matraimov ignored the president's words.
