Recently, a briefing was held in Bishkek by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, Jeenbek Kulubaev, during which he summarized the country's foreign policy activities for the year 2025. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
During his speech, the minister emphasized that the past year was marked by active and consistent implementation of a multi-vector and pragmatic foreign policy course. Kyrgyzstan actively developed political dialogue with international partners, expanded cooperation, and defended economic interests, while paying special attention to the rights and legitimate interests of citizens abroad.
Among the significant achievements of 2025, the minister highlighted the successful resolution of the border issue with Tajikistan, the successful chairmanship of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Organization of Turkic States and the Collective Security Treaty Organization, as well as the start of the chairmanship in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
The minister also outlined the priorities of foreign policy for 2026, which include effective chairmanship in the SCO, promotion of projects in the field of economy and transport logistics, expansion of export opportunities, and ensuring the protection of the rights of citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic abroad.
At the end of his speech, the minister answered questions from both domestic and foreign journalists.
