At a press conference held on January 15 in Bishkek, Jeenbek Kulubaev emphasized that the sanctions imposed against Kyrgyzstan are incorrect. The Minister of Foreign Affairs noted that his department is actively engaging with partners from the EU and the USA, conducting regular consultations on sanction policies.

Kulubaev stated: "We have provided all the necessary documents and proposed to conduct an independent audit; however, our partners do not consider this appropriate and impose sanctions unilaterally. We believe this is wrong, as Kyrgyzstan is located in the center of Central Asia, and many transit routes pass through our country. We intend to continue working in this direction, but we cannot suspend trade with our long-term partners. Our economy is limited, and we must ensure the safety and well-being of our people. We are fulfilling our international obligations and are ready to provide evidence; however, unfortunately, they cannot confirm this, yet still impose sanctions, which is incorrect," added the head of the foreign affairs agency.
