At the press conference held on January 15, Zheenbek Kulubaev pointed out that the U.S. is strengthening its migration policy, which is their internal matter, and Kyrgyzstan also has its own migration practices. Last year, 2,088 foreigners were deported from our country, while 9,000 were legalized.

The Foreign Minister clarified that deportation does not affect those who are in the U.S. legally and with the necessary documents. The issues concern those who have been living in the country without a visa or documents for 5-10 years.

"All Central Asian countries fall under this migration policy, so we have joint work ahead in this direction," he added.

The Minister also spoke about the work of the Foreign Ministry regarding the visa bond introduced by the U.S.

According to Kulubaev, "if a person has a salary of $40,000, they can afford a bond of $15,000. However, our salaries rarely exceed $1,000. Therefore, we will continue the dialogue with the American side on this issue," he assured.
