Kyrgyzstan expands parliamentary ties with key partners

In 2025, the Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh, Nurlanbek Turgunbek uulu, held eight meetings, as reported by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan, Jeenbek Kulubaev, at a press conference summarizing the year.

Of the total number of meetings, two were official, while the remaining six were working meetings. Due to early elections in the Jogorku Kenesh, five meetings were postponed to 2026. However, despite these changes, parliamentary diplomacy continued to actively develop, and more than 40 visits by parliamentarians took place in Kyrgyzstan.

The priority of this activity has been to strengthen parliamentary ties and cooperation with key partners such as China, Russia, Central Asian countries, Turkey, the OSCE, and TurkPA. The Minister emphasized that this creates a solid foundation for the work of the new composition of the Jogorku Kenesh in 2026.
