The President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Japarov, has approved the law "On Amendments to the Law on the Regulations of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic."
This law was approved by the Jogorku Kenesh on December 24, 2025.
The main goal of the new law is to optimize the work of the Jogorku Kenesh.
The adopted changes include the following provisions:
– the introduction of the position of the first deputy speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh;
– limiting the number of deputies from one faction in the Jogorku Kenesh committee to four;
– starting from January 1, 2027, the implementation of a voting system using electronic vote counting, including fingerprint recognition and facial geometry features is planned.
