"The fact that the Ministry of Construction is self-sufficient may lead to monopoly and corruption, - deputy"
He expressed the opinion that such a practice could contribute to the development of corruption and the creation of monopolies.
“My goal is not to accuse you, but to point out potential risks. You have control and regulatory functions similar to those exercised by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Prosecutor's Office, but if they start to finance themselves independently, it could lead to corrupt schemes. A similar experience has already occurred with specialized accounts, which were subsequently abolished,” the deputy noted.
This information was presented as part of the discussion on the policy of forming prices for services and works of the Ministry of Construction, Architecture, and Housing and Communal Services of Kyrgyzstan, as well as the rising prices in the construction sector.
