The President was briefed on the plans of the National Agency for Religious Affairs and Interethnic Relations

Today, February 3, the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Japarov, met with Talantbek Tashibekov, who holds the position of chairman of the National Agency for Religious Affairs and Interethnic Relations.

According to information provided by the president's press service, at the beginning of his appointment, the head of state set several tasks for Tashibekov. The purpose of the current meeting was to familiarize himself with the implementation of these assignments and to discuss plans for the agency's further activities.

During the meeting, Tashibekov presented the president with the planned steps regarding the agency's work, as well as the main focus on priority areas in religious policy and interethnic relations.

The president emphasized the importance of a responsible and balanced approach to issues of religion and interethnic relations. He also mentioned the transformation of the commission into a National Agency, which took place last year, and stressed that this allowed for a significant expansion of the agency's powers and improvement of its institutional capabilities.

Tashibekov also spoke about plans to hold a jubilee event dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the agency's establishment and requested the president to consider the possibility of awarding deserving religious figures with state honors.

The president supported this initiative and suggested considering the posthumous conferral of the title "Hero of the Kyrgyz Republic" to Chubak Azhy Jalilov, a renowned religious figure and preacher.

In conclusion of the meeting, Sadyr Japarov instructed Talantbek Tashibekov to ensure transparency and systematic work of the National Agency, as well as to pay special attention to strengthening interfaith and interethnic harmony, along with the principles of justice and unity.
