
On February 6, an important meeting took place in Astana between the Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Kazakhstan, Kudaibergen Bazarbaev, and the Akim of the capital of Kazakhstan, Zhenis Kassymbek.
The press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported that the meeting discussed steps for implementing previously reached agreements, as well as prospects for further development of relations between Bishkek and Astana as sister cities.
At the center of the participants' attention was the construction of a new building for the Kyrgyz Embassy in Astana, as well as strengthening cultural and humanitarian ties, including organizing touring events and establishing direct contacts between relevant institutions of both countries.
In addition, the parties exchanged views on issues of trade, economic, and scientific-technical cooperation. Possible mutual visits for experience exchange in the areas of housing and utilities, landscaping, digitalization, and land management were also discussed.
As a result of the meeting, both sides confirmed their interest in deepening interregional dialogue and expanding practical cooperation.
