Recently, at Depot No. 1, a ceremonial event took place where the Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan, Adylbek Kasymaliev, handed over the keys to 95 new buses and 42 units of specialized equipment to the Bishkek city administration.
“Today we are pleased to hand over 95 modern buses and 42 units of specialized equipment to the city administration. This marks an important step in the renewal of urban public transport and municipal services. The priorities of the city administration remain urban development, improving the ecology, and creating comfortable conditions for residents. In this direction, over 17,000 trees have already been planted and green spaces have been expanded. An eco-technological plant has also been opened, which deals with the disposal of solid household waste and the production of electricity,” noted Kasymaliev.
The head of the cabinet emphasized that the construction of kindergartens, schools, and underground passages continues in Bishkek, contributing to the creation of a safe and convenient urban environment. All these initiatives are being implemented by the city administration with a clear systematic approach.
Furthermore, Kasymaliev added that efforts to equip urban enterprises with technology will continue, urging service workers to handle the new equipment responsibly and improve the quality of services provided to the population.
“Each vehicle and unit of equipment is an important asset for the citizens. Responsible use and justifying trust is your direct duty,” he concluded, noting that the new buses and equipment will aid in the development of the capital, expanding the capabilities of municipal services and facilitating their work.
The 12-meter Youtong buses were purchased as part of a program by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. Among the 42 units of specialized equipment purchased with budget funds are emergency vehicles, dump trucks, hydraulic cranes, and other necessary machines for the effective operation of urban services.
