By the instruction of President Sadyr Japarov, the construction of six new schools has begun in Manas. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Construction, Architecture, and Housing and Communal Services of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The agency reminded that as part of the president's program for the development of educational infrastructure, it is planned to build 20 schools in Bishkek, 10 in Osh, and 6 in Manas by 2026 using the republican budget.In accordance with this instruction, on February 25, Minister Nurdin Oruntaev visited the Jalal-Abad region on a working trip.
During his visit, the head of the ministry, together with the presidential representative in the region Tilek Tekebaev and the mayor of Manas Abdypat Matkalikov, as well as representatives of contracting organizations and relevant departments, got acquainted with the projects for the construction of social facilities and held a working meeting.
The following educational institutions are planned to be built in Manas:
A school for 375 students at the address: Ak-Tilek microdistrict, Dostuk Street, 25/2 (Kök-Art municipal territorial administration); A school for 650 students on G. Mambetaliev Street (Kurmanbek municipal territorial administration); A school for 275 students at the address: Cholok-Terek village, A. Kerimbekov Street, 167 (municipal territorial administration named after T. Taygarayev); An additional building for 650 students to the school at the address: Sputnik microdistrict, R. Azizov Street, 13; An additional building for 275 students to secondary school No. 5 named after B. Osmonov (L. Furmanov Street, 5); An additional building for 275 students to secondary school No. 21 named after Zh. Bolotov in Dostuk microdistrict. The minister also reviewed the project and estimate documentation of the facilities and instructed the responsible persons to ensure the quality and timely execution of construction works.
As noted by the ministry, the current number of students in schools in Bishkek, Osh, and Manas significantly exceeds their designed capacity. In this regard, phased construction of 36 new schools is being implemented in these cities using the republican budget.
